Farhan Akhtar, Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan – who will replace Fawad Khan as Sonam Kapoor’s lover in Battle of Bittora?

Farhan Akhtar, Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan – who will replace Fawad Khan as Sonam Kapoor’s lover in Battle of Bittora?

Battle of Bittoria seems to be in a battle for real. After Khoobsurat, we were made to believe that Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor will rekindle their all-consuming romance in the film but this time it would be many notches higher. Later, we heard Fawad quit the film and it fell on Farhan Akhtar’s lap. But it seems there were others too who were considered for the film. And they are Saif Ali Khan and Abhishek Bachchan!
Everyone is well aware about Fawad’s reservations towards intimate scenes saw his ouster from the project since this Sonam and Rhea Kapoor film will be pretty intense that way. A few days later, we heard Farhan Akhtar will complete what he left undone in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag with Sonam where he doesn’t get her. Recently, a senior journalist in his column mentioned that Saif and Abhishek were in the running too.

Now, no confirmation has flown in from Kapoor’s end and so all we can do is speculate. We hope things sort out and we get to watch the film soon.

Raghav, Nelly, & Abhishek Bachchan Feature SolarAid In “Until The Sun Comes Up”

solaraid-raghav-video

Canadian pop star Raghav, American rapper Nelly, and Bollywood superstar Abhishek Bachchan get behind the solar revolution in Africa by endorsing UK-based solar charity SolarAid in Raghav’s new music video “Until The Sun Comes Up.”
The solar revolution isn’t always about getting cleaner electricity. Sometimes it’s about getting electricity, period.
In many parts of the world, electricity and electric lighting are a luxury, not a staple, and an estimated 1.3 billion people still don’t have access to electricity, even for such basic tasks as lighting a home after dark. Instead of just flipping a switch, these people have to rely on burning kerosene or other dirty and expensive fuels for light, which severely limits their ability to work or study after the sun goes down, as well as affects their health through the risk of respiratory illnesses.
While this issue may be well-known to those who work or travel in regions without regular access to electricity, many other people are incredulous when they hear that energy poverty greatly affects the lives of so many, even in this day and age. The Canadian singer Raghav is one of those people, as he came across the issue when exploring possibilities for a music video for his latest single, titled “Until The Sun Comes Up.”
“I just can’t believe that in 2015 so many people still live without a reliable source of electricity. While the western world have been connected to the grid for nearly a hundred years, and walk around with powerful computers in their pockets, millions in Africa and around the world have to use a tin can and some kerosene to light their homes at night. This is a tragic injustice and one I wanted to bring attention to in my video.” – Raghav
To help raise awareness of the issue, and to highlight solar solutions that can help alleviate some of the effects of energy poverty, Raghav worked with SolarAid, which builds solar markets in rural Africa through its social enterprise SunnyMoney, to film his new video. He personally bought and delivered more than 300 solar lights to school children in the small rural township of Shungubweni, Tanzania. These solar lights will eventually help students at the Shungubweni Secondary School (where the video was shot) study an extra 375,000 hours, while also saving their families tens of thousands of dollars in kerosene and candle costs.
The video for the single Until The Sun Comes Up also features US rapper Nelly, as well as Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan, both of whom mention the fact that more than 1 billion people globally live without electricity, and point to the work of SolarAid as being an effective solution for helping to alleviate energy poverty.

All is Well rakes in Rs. 11.91 Cr in first weekend

All is Well rakes in Rs. 11.91 Cr in first weekend

Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘All Is Well’ which released on last Friday has raked in Rs. 11.91 cr in a week. The movie which marks the comeback of actor Abhishek Bachchan after four years, got mixed reviews from critics. But what is a relief for makers is that movie is getting good response for being a family entertainer.
The movie opened with an opening of Rs. 2.90cr. The collections grew over Saturday and Sunday with the family audiences accepting the film, concept and characters which they relate too.
The film which was made in a budget of Rs 28cr (Rs 21cr cost of production and Rs 7cr PnA) seems to recover its making cost. By far, the makers have already recovered Rs 25cr through overseas distribution, music and satellite rights.
Directed by Umesh Shukla, All Is Well stars Abhishek Bachchan, Asin, Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak released last Friday.

All Is Well First Monday (4 Days) Box Office Collection: Abhishek Starrer Fails To Pick Up

Abhishek Bachchan starrer All Is Well has failed to impress the audience. The movie witnessed a fall in its Box Office collection on Monday that is on its fourth day, for obvious reasons. All Is Well did a business of Rs 2.10 crore at the Box Office on Monday. The total 4 days Box Office collection of the film is just Rs 14.01 crore. Abhishek Bachchan's movie All Is Well made Rs 2.90 Crores on its opening day and showed some growth on its second day i.e Saturday. The film earned Rs 3.98 Crores on Saturday and 5.03 Crore on Sunday at the Indian Box Office. However, it is expected that the movie will still make some profits as it is made with the budget of just Rs 28 crore, which it can easily recover from satellite rights and overseas distribution. OMG: Katrina Kaif Accepts Her Affair With Ex Boyfriend Salman Khan All is Well had very high expections as the movie is directed by Umesh Shukla of Oh My God Fame. Unfortunately, Umesh had nothing new to offer with this Abhishek Bachchan and Asin starrer. Abhishek Bachchan's All Is Well's collections will drop more next week as Saif Ali Khan - Katrina Kaif's Phantom is releasing on 28th.

All Is Well: Excruciatingly (un)funny

All Is Well is a family-oriented movie directed by Umesh Shukla. Prominent cast members include Abhishek Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Asin, Supriya Pathak and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub amongst others.

First and foremost, if you don’t plan on wasting your precious weekend, you should avoid going to the cinema to watch this movie. By a long shot, All Is Well is anything but well; as a matter of fact, it is an abomination. Predominantly, what made the movie worse is the dull script, which drags far too long, and the poor acting with forced comedic situations come off as crass and obtuse. Simply put, it is not funny at all.
In essence, this movie is a family saga, which starts off with a road trip. However, the road trip leads to nowhere. The movie includes forgettable punch lines which hold no impact and lifeless emotional scenes having depth equivalent to an inanimate rock. Therefore, this further makes the movie a regretful choice and a forgetful affair.
The story revolves around a struggling musician by the name of Inder Bhalla (Bachan), who dreams of reaching the heights of success by launching his own music album. He comes back to India from Pattaya, Thailand, to settle a property issue and meets his estranged father, Mr Bhalla (Kapoor).
Photo: All Is Well Facebook page
He then gets to know that his father is in debt and owes money to a loan shark, Chima (Ayyub) who is after their family for the collection of the debt. Moreover, it consists of a usual run of the mill and passé cum clichéd love story between Nimmi (Asin) and Inder. After overcoming many odds, their love story manages to come to a fruitful end at the end of the film. Nobody saw that coming from a mile!
As far as the songs of the movie are concerned, neither of them are captivating. They have even taken the super hit song from ‘Qayamat se Qayamat Tak’Aey Mere Humsafar, and utterly ruined it. Furthermore, Sonakshi Sinha has also performed an item song for this movie, which is, again, forgettable. However, the song Chaar Shanivaar is a tad bit better as compared to the mediocre songs of this feature film.
Photo: All Is Well Facebook page
In terms of acting potential, no actor stands out, not even Kapoor, which is a shame because he is one of the stalwart of the Bollywood movie industry; him showing no spine in terms of acting is very disappointing to see.
Bachchan’s acting is substandard as well. After quite a long time, he has been cast as the main lead in a movie. The last few hits he gave were Dhoom 3 and Happy New Year, in which he was casted in an all ensemble cost. This goes to proves that he can’t perform well and is not capable of successfully carrying the weight of an entire movie on his shoulders.
Photo: All Is Well Facebook page
As far as Asin is concerned, she plays the role of a smitten girl, head over heels in love with Inder, coupled with an almost fetish fascination with the novel The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.
Photo: All Is Well Facebook page
In conclusion, All Is Well is a movie which has created no hype or buzz on its arrival. One wishes that the movie would get better after a few minutes, but those minutes turns into hours and you’re left with nothing but a sense of instant regret over having wasted money, and most importantly your time.
It was excruciatingly painful to watch this movie, so kudos to you if you sat and watched it till the end. All Is Well has no sense of direction or pacing. It will soon find its resting place among other major flops in the halls of archival movies, which are long shunned and forgotten.
I would advise you to not watch this movie free of cost also. Yes it’s that bad. All Is Well’s crass and third grade humour will insult your own sense of humour; it wouldn’t even amuse a five-year-old.
This movie doesn’t deserve to be rated.

All Is Well movie review: Only thing ‘well’ about Abhishek, Asin, Rishi Kapoor film is its title

All Is Well review, All is well movie review, All is well movie, Abhishek Bachchan, All is Well movie review, All is Well, Asin, Rishi Kapoor, All is Well movie, Supriya Pathak, entertainment news, Bollywood movie, movie review, Abhishek Bachchan latest movie, latest movie, asin latest movie, all is well star cast

Whoever named this film must have a great sense of black humour, because the only thing ‘well’ about the film is its title. As for the rest, it goes beyond all notions of wellness. In other words, terrible.
Rishi Kapoor plays a Mr Bhalla, who runs a bakery in a hill station called Kasol. He is never seen to be baking anything. All he does is to yell and shout at his wife, and sonny boy Inder (played by Supriya Pathak and Abhishek Bachchan, respectively). Why? That’s a mystery.
Ms Pathak is to be found in an ‘ashram’, looking vacantly about. Abhishek switches locations from a Bangkok poolside with bikinied babes to the winding roads of Kasol, where he encounters college-mate Nimmi (Asin, colourless) who has feelings for him. Why anyone would have a tender spot for someone as indifferent as Inder is an even bigger mystery.
Up pops a long-haired goon called Cheema who’s only job is to twirl a gun, and threaten people. Why the talented Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub took on this thankless part is a … yes, you got that. It’s a puzzle.
Plot? Non-existent. The jokes? Screamingly unfunny. Rishi Kapoor doing ‘su-su’, singing ‘aiyi-aiyi-aiyi’? Groan. When will grown men wanting to urinate stop becoming an acceptable gag in Bollywood? Can someone solve this? It’s always good to see Supriya Pathak, but when will someone come up with a substantial part for her?
Why did I spend more than two hours hoping things would get better? I’ll tell you when I crack that one.

Did Lata Mangeshkar just praise Rishi Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan's singing?

Lata Mangeshkar, Abhishek Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor

Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar is all praise for the singing skills of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor and his All Is Well co-star Abhishek Bachchan after seeing them croon on a reality show.
The two actors were the guests on a singing talent hunt, where they came to promote their upcoming drama All Is Well. They took to stage to sing popular songs from their films.
While Rishi, 62, sang "Mai shayar toh nahin" from his debut movie Bobby, Abhishek, 39, crooned his hit number "Right here right now" from Bluffmaster!. He was also the voice behind the song in the film.

Few days ago, I watched the 'Indian Idol Junior' episode that featured Rishi Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan. They were enjoying the performance of every contestant. When Rishi ji was called to sing on stage and he sang 'Main shayar toh nahi', I was surprised. I did not know he has such a melodious voice.
"Abhishek sang after him and he also sang really well. I give them my best wishes," Lata wrote.

Bollywood review: All is not well with this Abhishek Bachchan starrer

Abhishek Bachchan's acting talent cannot be denied.

Before you start judging, think back to his brilliance in films such as 'Yuva' or 'Guru'. The actor showed a spark in the early years of his career that has all but snuffed out with the mediocrity of work, coupled with a unique ability to select non-starter solo projects.

Why else would an actor of his calibre star in a movie where all is not well from its dialogues to its haphazard direction?

This Bhushan Kumar and Shyam Bajaj produced comedy of errors was a mistake to back from the early stages of its script. To finance this film and bring it to big screen is a fool's exercise that will probably not end well for anyone associated with such a project.

Five minutes into 'All is Well' and audiences are taken down a backstory of a traumatic childhood of Inder Bhalla (Bachchan), who escapes an abusive father (Rishi Kapoor) and moves to Bangkok to pursue his dreams of becoming a singer. Kapoor is the debt-ridden Bhajanlal Bhalla, running a loss-making bakery in Kasol and finds pleasure in blaming his wife Pammi (Supriya Pathak) for all the problems in his life.

However, cash-strapped himself, a bitter Inder returns to Kasol a decade later when an opportunity arises to make some fast cash by selling his father's bakery.

Along the way, audiences are introduced to a sub-plot of his failed romance with Nimmi (Asin), due to an aversion to commitment following his parents' own failed marriage.

Fast forward 20 minutes and director Umesh Shukla decides to throw in some bumbling goons chasing Bhalla for a repayment of loan, along with some equally foolish cops adding colour to the mix. Throw in two item songs en route, a runaway bride and some family melodrama and audiences unspool a potent Bollywood pot-boiler that spills into the realm of ludicrousness.

Such ingredients, if cooked well, can result in a gastronomic delight; however, Shukla’s filmmaking talents can only result in a recipe for disaster.

The book of logic is chucked out the window and replaced with 'The Secret' that miraculously appears and disappears even as Nimmi is kidnapped from her own wedding function. Why is it even there, one never really understands. For that matter, why was she even in Bangkok, the makers don't deem it important enough to explain.

Continuity goes out the door, with the book, with Bachchan's costume changing every few minutes in some key scenes. The man is at a funeral, shouldering someone's body, when two frames later, a designer scarf appears around his neck, only to disappear one frame later in the same scene.

Audiences are also shown the urgency of the situation with bad guy Chima (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub Khan) hot on the heels of this fugitive family, yet Bachchan finds time to shake a leg with Sonakshi Sinha for an item song, then again at Nimmi's wedding.

If this isn't enough to leave audiences reeling, Pammi, who is suffering from Alzheimer, makes a miraculous recovery in the second half of the film. Clearly, the makers have found some miracle cure to the illness that could mint them money to recoup the losses this film is bound to make.

The talented Pathak is wasted in 'All is Well', while Asin is just another pretty face to fill in the heroine's shoes.

Meanwhile, Kapoor and Bachchan outdo each other in who can scream the loudest for the cameras. While the former appears to genuinely make an effort at acting, the latter sleepwalks through the film.
The only saving grace, if any, is Khan's Chima, who appears to show some semblance in the acting department.

The '90s humour is as tired and hackneyed as this entire enterprise.

Take our advice and the money spent on this weekend's movie outing is perhaps best spent on charity instead. Believe us, you will be doing yourself a favour.

Abhishek Feels Aishwarya Is The Most Understanding One In His Family

Abhishek Feels Aishwarya Is The Most Understanding One In His Family

Abhishek Bachchan is back on the big screen after a long time with All Is Well, which will release this Friday, on 21st August! The actor has been through a lot of ups and downs in his career, with many flop films and few hit ones. This fabulous actor has not landed great scripts but may be All Is Well will finally showcase his strength and get him back in the big league. Speaking about how his family criticizes his work or gives their opinion about his films, Abhishek told TOI, when they respond, "On the drive home, it's instant. My mom you will know as soon as the trial is over, it's on her face. So if Ma gives you a hug at the end, it means she has liked it. If she tells me, 'Let's go home,' you know she didn't. Later on that night, dad will sit me down and talk to me. The nice thing is they don't criticise, it's very constructive. He further added, "The more understanding of the lot there is Aishwarya that way. She lays it down much easier, but she is also very truthful in her reaction."

Abhishek: I don't aspire to be like my father

'I wake up every morning and get to make movies. This is the biggest highlight of my career.'
All Is Well for Abhishek Bachchan.
From the inescapable comparisons to his superstar father Amitabh Bachchan to making a name of his own, Abhishek Bachchan has come a long way.
The 39-year-old actor describes his 15 years in the film industry as a roller-coaster ride. "You have this smile on your face when you get off a roller-coaster... achieving that smile should be your aim," he explains.
Abhishek is now eagerly awaiting the release of his much-delayed film, All Is Well, a film on a father-son relationship.
Abhishek talks to Sonil Dedhia/ Rediff.com talks about the film, and his relationship with his own dad.
What attracted you to do All Is Well?
I thought Umesh (Shukla, director) was trying to say an important message.
With All Is Well, we are dealing with the subject of generation gap and miscommunication in a family.
The story is about a father and son. Chintu uncle's (Rishi Kapoor) character Bhajanlal Bhalla runs a bakery in a small village. I play his son, Inder.
Like most fathers, he wants his son to take up the family business but the son wants to become a musician. My character then leaves home to pursue his dream.
I liked the style in which he wanted to convey the message. He can put across a serious point in an entertaining way.
But this kind of story has been told before.
I'll give an example from our daily life. Today, we have become so busy in achieving what we want that we have almost become selfish.
We don’t think about what our parents want, or what they think about our future. Rather than pausing and thinking about the good things, people are busy complaining about most of the things.
We don’t appreciate our parents enough, and that's the theme of the film. A mother will always check on her child whether he has reached his destination safely or has eaten food but a child would rarely do that for his mother.
I am a pretty good son, at least I try to be. My family is my priority.
We don’t realise the importance of what our parents have sacrificed for us. We don’t appreciate them.
I see this perspective because I am a parent and can see both sides of the fence. All of us are working and earning money because we want a better life with our parents but they are the first ones we compromise on.
How was it working with director Umesh Shukla?
He is a very keen observer of life and has a very unique perspective. His biggest inspiration comes from everyday life.
What’s nice about this film is that it is not a one-sided film. Umesh has kept a balance between the father-son perspective.
Chintu uncle has a good dialogue: 'Yeh zaroori nahi hai ki ek doctor ka beta, doctor he bane (A doctor's son doesn't have to be a doctor).' It's a message for parents also. They need to ask their children what they want to do or what they aspire to be in life.

Image: Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan. Photograph: Abhishek Bachchan/Facebook
What kind of relationship do you share with your father?
My dad is like my buddy; we have always had a friendly relationship.
I don't disagree with him much. If there is a difference of opinion, we reason it out.
Thankfully, we have never had any issues, where we disagree on something. If he says something I don't agree with, he gives me the opportunity to explain my point of view. If it makes sense to him, he's okay with it.
The film was supposed to release last year. Did the delay frustrate you?
Smritiji (Smriti Irani) was initially a part of the film. We had shot a lot of portions with her but she became Minister of Human Resource Development (last year).
Her duty towards the nation was far more important than a film. She tried her best to finish the shooting but it was not possible. She graciously told us about it and requested Umesh to replace her. It's wonderful for any actor to say this.
The film was practically shelved for almost nine months till Supriyaji (Supriya Pathak) came on board.
We had to re-shoot a lot of portions. During that time, I was shooting for Happy New Year and also busy with the Pro Kabbadi League (Abhishek owns the Jaipur Pink Panthers team), so it wasn’t frustrating. But I wanted the film to be made. I am happy the film was revived.

Did you ever feel awkward shooting the same scenes with a different actor?
No. I have done a lot of work with Supriyaji. I call her my Nirupa Roy (laughs).
She has played my mother in four films. We're working together after more than 10 years. She is such a fine actor that it's always fun to work with her.

Image: Rishi Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Supriya Pathak in All Is Well
How was it working with Rishi Kapoor?
I have earlier worked with him in Delhi 6.
On set, he is a friend who treats you like one and allows you to treat him the same way.
He just called me some time ago. He must have sent me a dirty joke and must be calling to ask why I didn't respond to him.
He has such a brilliant way of breaking down those formal barriers and making one feel comfortable in his presence.
He is one of the greatest actors we have.
You complete 15 years in the industry. What are the highlights of your career?
(Thinks hard) I wake up every morning and make movies. This is the biggest highlight of my career.
How many actors out there are blessed enough to have work even after five years? It’s an honour to have worked in the industry for 15 years.
I am thankful to my fans, who have always supported me.
Besides, I don’t like looking back over my shoulder. I try to aim for the horizon.
Any regrets?
I don’t have any regrets because they make you very bitter. If something doesn’t go according to plan, you need to know how to turn it into something positive.
A lot of my films haven’t worked but I guess that’s the case with every actor. I can't think of any actor, who has only given hit films. It’s the things you learn from failure that will help you grow in future.
My failures have taught me more than my successes.

Image: Abhishek Bachchan in Guru
Which is your favourite film or favourite characters?
I don’t know. I don’t like to dwell in the past. I find it very difficult to retrospect.
I cannot rest on my past laurels.
I remember once I was playing cricket at Adi’s (Aditya Chopra) house before I became an actor. Shah Rukh Khan was there and I asked him to name his dream role. He told me: 'Tomorrow, when you will become an actor, remember that your dream role should be the one that you are doing at that point of time. Because if that isn’t the case, then you are not doing justice to it.'
But I get flattered when people tell me that I have done fantastic work in Guru or Sarkar.
Your father has been in the industry for more than four decades. Do you ever think what you would do when you reach his stage?
I really pray that I am able to do what he does at his age.
I can’t see a life without films. I hope I am blessed enough that at his age also I can work in films.
He was the biggest, is the biggest and will remain the biggest star. I don’t aspire to be like him. I will never be able to reach the stardom that my father has achieved. I would like to make my own path.
After All Is Well, you have three comedy films coming up: Hera Pheri 3, Houseful 3 and the Bluffmaster sequel. Are comfortable doing comedy?
I don’t look at Bluffmaster as a comedy. We still have to finalise the script. It’s just that Riteish (Deshmukh), Rohan (Sippy, director) and I have all agreed to make it. It will take some time.
Also, I don’t plan that since I have done a family drama, my next film would be a comedy.
I loved the scripts of Hera Pheri 3 and Housefull 3 and am sure they will be laugh riots. Initially, I was scared to take up Housefull 3, as the film has dedicated fans. I remember I told my nephew (Agastya) that I was offered the film and he told me, ‘You have to do it, mamu. It’s my favourite film. It will be great fun to see you in it.'

Abhishek Bachchan-Rishi Kapoor’s Affable Chemistry Adds Magic To Umesh Shukla’s All Is Well

Abhishek-Rishi-Kapoor

Umesh Shukla’s upcoming family drama, All Is Well brings together Rishi Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan for the first time as father and son. Though the two actors have worked together in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Delhi 6, it’s for the first time they will be sharing more screen space in T-Series and Allchemy Film Productions’ All Is Well.
The film’s trailer received humongous response on the social media and people couldn’t stop raving about Rishi Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan’s effortlessly chemistry. “It is our personal connection that visibly shows on screen,” says Rishi. Abhishek, on his part, feels that beyond a point, no actor is so good that he can fake great camaraderie with his colleague. “There has to be some genuine love and respect. That ensures their camaraderie goes to the next level. We’re professionals, after all, who land up on set to work together. Even if two actors can’t stand each other’s guts, there should be no way of finding that out. That’s what acting is all about. But when there is a film about relationships, a real-life equation will always show on screen,” says he.

The movie that releases on August 21, talks about how the communication gap takes precedence over the generation gap. “This story is no rocket science, but Umesh has intelligently added that value system in a modern set-up. This film tells it all very entertainingly, without preaching. We might be squabbling all through the film, but there is a lovable quality to our repartee. You don’t mind their love-hate relationship because you relate to them, you feel for them,” says Rishi Kapoor.
The talented actor duo – Rishi and Abhishek admits that the film’s shooting was a blast. “I would have coffee in his van while he would drink his tea and we would chill together,” says Abhishek. Ask if he got scolded by Rishi Kapoor while on set, and he says, “All we did was gang up and bully Umesh on set. That sweet, accommodating guy was our favourite prey.”
Produced by T-Series and Allchemy Film Productions’ All Is Well is scheduled to release 21st August 2015.

40 years of Sholay: Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan remember the 'ageless' film

Salman Khan watched Sholay in his school uniform while Abhishek Bachchan was not even born when it released but the movie, which turns 40 this month, was a defining part of their childhood.
Salman's father Salim Khan co-wrote the script of the cult movie with Javed Akhtar, starring Amitabh Bachchan as Jai, Dharmendra as Veeru, Hema Malini as Basanti, Amjad Khan as the dreaded Gabbar and Sanjeev Kumar as Thakur in the Ramesh Sippy-directed movie, which released on August 15, 1975.
Recalling his earliest memories about the film, Salman said he attended the premiere with brother Arbaaz in 'Minerva' theatre.

"I remember we went to see the premiere of Sholay. Arbaaz and I were in Scindia school, so we were dressed in our school blazers when our father took us there," Salman said, adding "the film surprisingly for two weeks was a huge disaster."
"Apparently, they went back to shoot the climax to make Bachchan saab relive in the movie but after two weeks, it just took it to the next level.
Sholay has some of the most memorable dialogues ever written in a Hindi film be it "kitne aadmi the?" by Gabbar, or "Tumhara naam kya hai Basanti?" by Bachchan and Dharmendra's "Basanti, in kutton ke saamne mat naachna".
Salman, 49, said this is one film where "informatory lines" became hit dialogues. The actor said he always wanted to get lines like Sholay in his films.
Abhishek, who was in Delhi to promote his upcoming film All Is Well, said he was actually in his "mother's stomach" when he went for the premiere of Sholay.
"The thing I love about 'Sholay' is even if you see it today, it's very contemporary. A lot of films age, I feel 'Sholay' is ageless. It is as close to what we can get to a perfect masala potboiler that we have. Even if you see it today, its very believable. It's an iconic film," Abhishek, 39, said.
"My entire childhood has been full of hearing stories of Salim-Javed uncle, Ramesh uncle, my parents and those were such wonderful stories. I believe the film was shot over three years. There were great anecdotes."
"Rohan, Ramesh's son went school with me and we did films together as well. Sholay is the greatest film ever made and we are very happy that it is here, 40 years down the line. To make a film that today's youth can connect with, I think that would be something all of us would aspire to do at some point," added Abhishek.

I am well mannered and so I won’t snub her or behave coldly: Abhishek on Deepika

http://www.pinkvilla.com/files/styles/contentpreview/public/Abhishek-Bachchan-and-Deepika-Padukone.jpg?itok=LTFENQsd

When Deepika Padukone missed to invite Amitabh Bachchan for the PIKU success bash, little did she imagine the repurcussions that it would cause. Though Deepika dismissed this as a technical glitch, and Big B himself mentioned that it was not a big deal, the ghost of the event is sure to follow the dimpled beauty for a long time to come, or so it seems.
In a recent interview with DNA, Abhishek Bachchan was asked about his thoughts on the whole issue of his dad being snubbed. When asked if he was upset that his dad was not invited to the bash, Abhishek said, "I have nothing to say on that. I am too busy doing my own work to bother about other people’s work."
When asked if he would feel awkward when he bumped into Deepika at an event, he said, "If I bump into her at an event, I would like to believe that I am a well-mannered and well-brought up person and I won’t snub her or behave coldly. What has that got to with anything?"
Abhishek is all set for the release of his film 'All is Well', which also stars Rishi Kapoor and Asin. The movie is all set to release on August 21.
